Regional Churches

WHAT IS A REGIONAL CHURCH?

Regional Churches represent our highest level of partnership within the Carolina Movement, and having strong regional churches in each region of North Carolina is vital to our statewide church planting movement.

Regional Churches prepare the way for church planting in their region by helping bring on a dedicated regional catalyst, helping area churches collaborate in a regional church planting network, and creating a strong support system for church planters in their region.

Regional Strategy

North Carolina’s 100 counties are divided into 25 regions. In each region, Carolina Movement will establish a church planting network, led by a part-time regional catalyst. A key regional church will take the lead, supported by sending and stakeholder churches in order to support multiple church plants in the region.

REGIONAL CHURCH BENEFITS

1. Strategic Church Planting Influence

Regional Churches play a key role in advancing the gospel by actively shaping and supporting church planting efforts in their region, ensuring a strong foundation for new churches to thrive.

2. Leadership Development & Support

By helping bring on a dedicated regional catalyst, Regional Churches invest in leadership that strengthens church planters and fosters collaboration among area churches.

3. Kingdom Collaboration & Unity

Regional Churches facilitate a network of local churches working together for a common mission, creating a united front to reach their communities more effectively.

4. Sustainable Church Planting Ecosystem

By providing relational, financial, and practical support to church planters, Regional Churches help create an environment where new churches are more likely to succeed long-term.

5. Greater Gospel Impact in North Carolina

As a vital part of the statewide movement, Regional Churches contribute to the broader vision of reaching North Carolina with the gospel by multiplying healthy churches in their region.
