One of the greatest strengths of Carolina Movement has always been relationships. The Gathering isn’t just about great sessions—it’s about connecting with other leaders who understand your unique ministry and can encourage you long after the event ends.

This year, every attendee will have the opportunity to join a ministry-specific cohort where you’ll build relationships with others serving in similar roles from churches across the Carolinas. Our hope is simple: that you’ll leave feeling known, encouraged, and more connected than when you arrived.

During registration, simply select the cohort that best fits your ministry role. We’ll follow up with additional details as the Gathering gets closer.

How It Works

Throughout the Gathering, your cohort will connect in two intentional environments:

  • Cohort Connect – A relaxed, activity-based experience designed for conversation and relationship-building.
  • Cohort Breakfast – A smaller gathering focused on encouragement, discussion, prayer, and shared learning with leaders who understand your ministry.

David is a former senior pastor and had success in growing three different churches in Maryland, Iowa, and Florida. He has been a trustee on the board of Luther Rice Seminary and has taught all over the world. David received a Master of Arts degree from Moody Bible Institute, a Master of Divinity from Luther Rice University and his Doctor of Ministry from Luther Rice University. David is married to his lovely wife, Loretta. They have three grown children and five grandchildren.

For more than two decades, Jeff has combined his entrepreneurial spirit and pastoral heart to plant thriving churches, unite congregations through The Cola Network, and serve as President of the Board for Christ Together, a national network mobilizing churches in over 100 cities. Shaped by both faith and adversity – including his son’s battle with Cystic Fibrosis and his own Parkinson’s diagnosis – Jeff lives out his life verse, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9). He and his wife, Allison, have three children – Cade, Grayson, and Hope – and a lively Jack Russell named Finn.
